Obviously this is a matter of individual taste - I am attracted to highly colorful eclectic spaces with unique details and a personal feel. I might have felt let down by the finalists chosen, and I might not be the only one, but I'm sure there are plenty of people that absolutely loved all of the choices and had no problem with the lack of range. Which is just fine ;)

I have to agree, the finalists they chose just don't show the diversity among the group. Jessica from NY would have to be my top favorite.
ha I noticed that too about our picks! Lots of the finalists have really vibrant colorful living rooms, and I think I was attracted to these because a lot of designs I've seen more recently are all neutral or subdued color schemes. That 1st one though is the best :) I love that green couch and wallpaper.
I'm excited to see the duvet too!
